We are a professional property inspection company dedicated to providing accurate, thorough, unbiased inspections. Our clients benefit from our years of experience, education and specialized training. We strive to provide the best, most professional inspection service in this area.

We recognized the need for qualified, experienced inspectors with integrity to accurately and thoroughly provide an unbiased evaluation of the property condition; therefore we started HPI in 1993. We continue to provide home and building inspections throughout the Omaha, Council Bluffs and surrounding areas covering approximately a 50 mile radius. We have inspected nearly every size and type home and commercial property since 1993.

Our inspections are conducted by owner/president, Wayne Orstad, who has over 36 years experience, is certified by the National Association of home Inspectors, with the CRI (Certified Real Estate Inspector) designation, holds degrees in construction engineering and industrial technology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and has taken a comprehensive training course through Inspection Training Associates. We maintain certification through continuing education of over 30 hours per year, well over the 16 hour per year requirement.

Our many years experience, education and Certified Real Estate (CRI) designation through NAHI provides our clients with confidence that we are fully qualified and have credentials to back up our claims. The National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI) maintains high standards with their Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics and their members adhere to those standards. We have been a member of NAHI since 1993 and have reached their highest level of membership, the CRI designation.

Wayne Orstad is a founding member of the Nebraska Chapter of NAHI, known as NENAHI. NENAHI was established to provide a high level of integrity and ongoing education for our members. Wayne is the Chapter Treasurer of NENAHI. We hold monthly meetings with educational speakers and hold a day long education seminar each spring. Radon is the 2nd leading cause of Lung Cancer, and because it is odorless and not visible it can only be detected through testing. We are Licensed by the State of Nebraska Health and Human Services, Radon Division to provide radon testing. We started radon testing in 1994 and were EPA Listed prior to 1996 when licensing became effective. We receive ongoing education each year to maintain our License status.
